Diamonds Mapenzi Beach

The resort was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of areas to explore and relax. I stayed with my husband and son and we were joined by two of our friends. Things that stuck out to us in particular: 1. Hardly any mosquitoes and the staff regularly treat the rooms to prevent mosquitoes in the evenings/early dawn. Around the property throughout the day, we never saw any. Our son is allergic, so this was huge for us. 2. They didn't advertise this when we booked, but they do provide many activities for children throughout the day everyday. They don't have a play area specifically for children, but they do have a shallow children's pool. 3. Staff are always extremely helpful and engaging, and they were constantly doing special little things for the children (making hats, playing football, etc.) 4. I believe the spa/gym are all under construction as of summer 2025 (it looks like they are opening up a spa/gym area under the main pool and beside the two lower pools). But they have relocated both to temporary arrangements during the time. The gym is small but has a good few options to stay active during your stay. The "spa" is a converted room but the service was still fantastic and enjoyable. 5. Food was generally good and they had enough options to cater to various tastes. The quality was on par with most All-Inclusive resorts, although they are clearly (and rightly so) conscious of food waste, so the selection is less than what we typically see from resorts. Not a complaint at all, but just an observation. One night, they did an African Night on the beach and the food was truly amazing. I really wish they had more local/traditional options available every night, because we were all absolutely blown away. 6. Rooms had AC and were cleaned and stocked daily + turn down service every evening. We stayed in the beachfront villa and it was 100% worth the extra cost.

Everything!!! The food (breakfast, lunch & dinner) was exceptional! The staff were all super friendly. The resort is beautiful, clean, beds so comfortable with 2 x pillows p/person with different softness! There are 2 pools and 2 restaurants. The beach was always clean and we always felt welcomed & were looked after all the time 🩷 Nothing was a problem. Everybody was extremely accommodating. They offer lots of activities one of them ‘Reef walking’ which I recommend. There’s lots of activities for the kids as well which keeps them entertained. A big thank you to Ali, Jamal and all the staff too many to mention for making our stay one of the best vacations we’ve had. Asante Sana

The location is lovely set on the beach , plenty of sun beds beach bar looking into crystal blue waters The hotel was lovely and had lots to offer to get involved with hotel life out wanted to Themed night’s entertainment and nothing was to much trouble The staff were excellent and made our stay perfect There is an on site spa which I highly recommend Amina a trainee receptionist was there every morning with a huge big smile and a morning greeting thank you for everything you did for us you do a fantastic job 👏 Also a big thank you to Abas trod & beverage manager you looked after everyone so well thanks so much

It’s hard to choose one thing that I enjoyed. The staff were extreme friendly, always greeting us with a smile and a happy ‘Jambo!’. The location was superb. I can highly recommend staying in a beach villa because the ocean is your backyard - perfect for that proper holiday feeling. The food was also superb and exceeded expectations! There was so much to choose from at the buffet, from pastas, to soups, fresh fruits and vegetables and meat dishes. The vegetarian curry was the best I’ve ever had and people with different dietary requirements will not be disappointed. The hotel offers various themed nights with local music and performances. There is also a tour desk should you feel the urge to explore Zanzibar a bit more with a private company - this is really helpful for those who like to live more spontaneously. I would love to have stayed longer!

The resort is arranged exactly as you would wish: the specificity of the place combined with the modern comfort of today. We liked the cheerfulness and serenity of the people. This is the place where we learned what 'pole-pole' means by interacting with the locals. We received services at the highest level and can only say this: thank you!
